How to deliciously and healthily cool down hot oatmeal
In the summer, when fresh fruit is plentiful, lightly rinse, dry and coarsely chop up lots of it (blueberries in one plastic bag, strawberries in another, etc.). Freeze the berries. In the cooler months, if you're making porridge, pop a few frozen berries into the cereal. It serves the dual purpose of cooling the oatmeal down enough to eat and adding flavor, fiber and color to your breakfast
