Use up spare ingredients with tese tips...
Wholemeal Flour:
- Use to dust meat or fish, the fry in butter and oil for a great crunchy coating.
- Use half wholemeal, half white flour in home-made pastry for a nutty flavour.

Dijon Mustard:
- Spread over savoury tart bases before you add the filling for a real kick
- Stir into mayonnaise for a great dip with chips
- Mix with honey and use to spread over the breast of a chicken before roasting
- Stir a spoonful through cheese sauces and pour over leeks or cauliflower

Streaky Bacon:
- Add flavour to chunky vegetable soups, risottos, chicken casseroles and pasta dishes by adding a few rashers of chopped bacon
- Use to wrap chicken breasts or sausages before frying of cooking in the oven
- Chop and fry until crisp, then add warm chicken and spinach salad
